Why I hate Cameras

Do you like cars or do you like to drive? Do you like cameras or do you like the images?

I hate cameras.

No kidding!

I love images but today's cameras are hopelessly lacking. So I hate them.

Let me explain: I view cameras as a necessary evil to take pictures. Some might be technological powerhouses. They are fast. They get outdated fast. Technology is moving super fast. Reflecting on what is possible today, it's unbelievable!

Yet - - - these machines with their lenses are big, heavy, clunky, unwieldy,  are pretty stupid at getting an exposure right, have limited dynamic range, not enough detail, don't when you want them to, have too-small displays, unreadable in sunlight, put me in all sorts of problems when there's not much light, need all sorts of different lenses to be creative, are horrendously loud (and are even made to click electronically when they aren't!), and are not wysiwyg.

Please fix all this Canon and Nikon and I will love your products!
