The D300 killed the D80
February 3rd, 2008
Why Nikon's high-end consumer DSLR is not such a good deal. Say what? Yes, true. I was at a large camera retailer on Saturday. They had all of Nikon's hardware including the D80, D200 and D300 on display. The D200 was selling cheap due to the D300 which was sitting in it's former price-range. Nobody in their right mind will buy the D200, an outdated model, right? Funny thing is, the D200 is now cheaper than the D80 (which is an inferior camera). So all ye people out to buy a D80: Skip it and go for the "outdated" D200. It's much more bang for the buck!
