SB-800 Bare Bulb Mod

I found an interesting post about modding a Nikon flash to make it bare bulb [PIC].

I've been contemplating how to mod a Nikon SB-800 to expose it's flash fully to make it a bare-bulb flash [bare bulbs throw light 360° and so make for some pretty even lighting].
